I would describe myself as a nomad, both realistically and digitally speaking. I enjoy working anywhere with a good view. My passions include travel, aesthetics, and the digital world. Most people would say that you can't have a love of travel and other cultures while you are behind a computer screen. I'd have to disagree though because thanks to the digital age, the internet and social media has allowed us to explore and learn about far off countries. It has allowed us to make friends thousands of miles away, AND to find cheap flights fast (thank you Hopper App!)
Now on to the important stuff..
What do you do?
I specialize in social media management and content creation. I successfully create inspiring, well-curated feeds to develop an engaged community of followers for clients. My objective is to increase inbound traffic for clients' platforms through development of content, application of analytical tools, and thoughtful collaboration with marketing and production teams.
Why digital marketing?
I've come a long way since the days of AOL chatrooms, but my love of connecting people and "tricking out" my friends MySpace pages never died. I've always had a creative eye, and an opinion on all things aesthetics, which is why I went into Fashion as soon as I was old enough to work.
In the early 2000's, e-commerce was booming and fashion retailers couldn't get their merchandise online fast enough. The internet was changing the way we shopped, and with the introduction of more social media platforms, consumers were being introduced to an overload of inspiration from influencers and fast fashion. I wanted to know everything about advertising, photography, demographics, buying behavior, and marketing strategies. I was in the middle of it all, and I couldn't get enough.
Through each promotion in retail, I was able to learn new skill sets in management and merchandising, eventually leading me to a Social Media Manager position. To this day, my love of fashion has never dwindled, it just led me to a love of marketing in the digital world, and for that I am quite thankful.
